We are currently recruiting for the position of Front Office Manager to cover a maternity leave position for our beautiful Melbourne boutique style hotel located in the CBD, Grand Mercure Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day front office operation including: reservations, accounts, month end reporting and assisting the General Manager in the day to day operations of the hotel.
The role will include being responsible for the hotel in the absence of the General Manager, so we are looking for a candidate who is ready to take the next step of their career into an advanced managerial position.
We are looking for someone who has the following:
- Previous front office managerial experience
- Knowledge of DOTW
- Knowledge of yielding rates and allotments in 3rd Party Websites
- Good analytical skills
- Strong computer skills
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Proven leadership and managerial attributes
- Relationship building skills on all levels
- High attention to detail
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, reliable, hardworking and work exceptionally well in a team environment.
This is a temporary full time maternity leave contract commencing in August/September 2010 for a period of approximately 12 months. An ongoing commitment to working shifts consisting of early mornings, late evenings and weekends is essential.
